Water delivered to you, including any water that runs off of your property becomes your responsibility.  This includes the maintenance and care of the drain or tailwater ditch until it runs into a natural drain or one managed by the Drainage District.  Maintenance is usually a responsibility shared by everyone who uses the ditch.  The District’s responsibility ends at the delivery box, thus we are not responsible for open ditches or drains.
